CREDIT UNION SPONSORING CHILDREN’S BOOK DRIVE

Brockton, MA, April 1, 2011 – Today marks the annual Children’s Book Drive sponsored by Crescent Credit Union and the Massachusetts Credit Union League. Last year, Crescent Credit Union collected over 800 children’s books that were distributed with the help of our partner, the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless, to several non-profit agencies.

“Crescent Credit Union has made a commitment to our communities to do what we can to help those in need,” said Credit Union President Robert Gustafson. “Friends, neighbors and employees have answered the call in years past, and we expect another large turnout in 2011.”

Mr. Gustafson went on to say, “Many of us have a boxes of books in the basement or attic collecting dust,” added Mr. Gustafson. “Knowing that a youngster is experiencing the pleasure of some good books is a great reward for sharing them.”

From Friday, April 1 through Saturday, April 30, please drop off new or used children’s books at your nearest Crescent Credit Union location in Brockton, Taunton, or Norwell. All books donated will be distributed in the communities which we serve.
