CAR TRASHES 4 LAWNS AND CAR PARTS ARE FOUND AND NEIGHBORS MAILBOX

On Saturday morning at 3am residents on Howard Street woked up to the sound of loud crashes and a vehicle driving thru 4 different house lawns. The vehicle was heading south on Howard Street around the infamous dead mans curve where in less than 5 years 3 accidents have occurred where cars have misjudged the curve or were going over the speed limit. In this accident a vehicle believed to be a black Mercedes SUV hit the mailbox of 254 Howard Street and threw it over 500 hundred feet two houses down.
The car then proceeded to go thru the next house's lawn tearing it and still proceeding with front bumper damage and car parts falling off. As it left the second house's yard and proceeded onto the third house's lawn, this reporter looked out the window and saw the dark vehicle next door in the neighbors yard and finally exiting thier front lawn going over the side walk and speeding south down Howard Street. The Brockton police were called at 3:13a.m. and I began to chase after the vehicle after I saw that it stopped on the right side of the rode in front of the 230 block.
2 male occupants were observed getting out of the car and started yelling at each other and as I started to get closer they got back in the vehicle took a u-turn speeding north on Howard Street. I was unable to give the police at that time the license plate but little did I know at 6a.m. when I recorded the damage to the yards to my surprise I found the license plate that fell off the front of the car. Linda the owner of the first house that had property damage and was awakened from her sleep when the accident occured was looking for her mailbox. I imagined it was a small mail box that just was dragged with the vehicle or just got trashed.
When we finally found it about 500 feet from where it used to stand I was surprised to find out how large and heavy it was. The property damage was extensive to the lawns and luckily no one was injured and cars that were normally parked in their usual places were either gone for the night or parked in a different places. In all 3 large objects were hit and went flying in the air but luckily they landed on the ground and did not hit the houses. At this point police are still investigating the incident and hopefully with the license plate found they will capture the culprits. BrocktonBeat will keep you updated on this situation as we get more information. Watch part one and see the property damage and the path of destruction the car took and part two shows the car parts that came off the vehicle and how large the mailbox that was hit and how far it was thrown.
