RASH OF ROBBERY'S

According to the Brockton Police log from Thursday, June 9th-12th, there were a total of seven robbery's that occurred in Brockton. This is nothing new to the city but in light of publishing the police log over the past year this is a trend that stood out and readers need to be aware with summer time and the bad economy to be extra cautious in your surroundings. THURSDAY, JUNE 9, 2011

9:04 p.m. Robbery on Carleton Avenue. White male dressed in all black and a mask, had a knife and was hiding near the callers door. When she went to go in the house he pulled the knife out and took callers pocketbook. Victims property was found at 11:45 p.m. at the KFC on Main Street and Clifton Avenue.

SATURDAY, JUNE 11, 2011

11:08 p.m. Robbery on Packard Way. Caller was robbed while delivering to a house. States 3 black males surrounded her and took her money and the other two blocked her and then stole her car. The caller is next door at 35 and is using the neighbors phone. Her phone is in the car/Domino's.

SUNDAY, JUNE 12, 2011

8:42 a.m. Robbery at Price Rite-21 Torrey Street. Manager called saying unknown while male grabbed some money out of the cashiers hand and took off in a blue Buick. the car took off on Belmont Street.


10:46 a.m. Robbery at Dollar Tree- 700 Crescent St. White male grabbed money out the register. No weapons used and fled toward McDonalds. Police report taken.


1:47 p.m. Robbery on 1260 Main Street. Party states white male with blood in his hands told her to open the drawer and took some money and ran. Police report taken.

6:56 p.m. Robbery at the Huntington School-1121 Warren Avenue. School Police report taken.


10:55 p.m. Robbery on Florence Street. Two 16 year olds arrested for armed robbery.
